About Me
I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Robotics Institute, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, supervised by Prof. Shoudong Huang and A/Prof. Liang Zhao. My research primarily focuses on medical robotics, computer assisted intervention, and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), particularly for orthopaedic surgery.

- Jul 2025: Our navigation system for robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery has successfully secured funding through UTS Robotics Institute Strategic Funding Initiative.
- Jun 2025: Our paper Physical Human-Robot Collaboration-Assisted Acetabular Preparation for Total Hip Replacement Surgery was accepted by IROS 2025.
- May 2025: I have submitted the final version of my Ph.D. thesis to UTS.
- Apr 2025: I will join Robotics Institute, University of Technology Sydney as a postdoctoral research fellow.
- Jan 2025: Our paper Partial-to-Full Registration based on Gradient-SDF for Computer-Assisted Orthopedic Surgery was accepted by ICRA 2025.
- Oct 2024: Our robotic system for total hip replacement surgery has been offically awarded a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grant.
- Feb 2024: Our paper Robotic‐assisted burring in total hip replacement: A new surgical technique to optimise acetabular preparation was accepted by IJMRCAS.
- May 2023: Our paper A closed-form solution to electromagnetic sensor based intraoperative limb length measurement in total hip arthroplasty was accepted by MICCAI 2023.
- Jul 2021: I contributed to the origination of the international winter school "IEEE RAS Winter School on SLAM in Deformable Environments". I served as the tutor, developer, and ZOOM host.
- Feb 2021: Our paper 2D laser SLAM with closed shape features: Fourier series parameterization and submap joining was accepted by RA-L.
